Is there a free trial?
No. €19.99 for a car, van or LGV. €29.99 for a bus or HGV. Including VAT. 12-month rolling contract. Email info@sarsfield.ie within 30 days of the first payment for the software fee back.
We lease vehicles out. What does the leasing desk show us?
One line per hired plate per day: checked and the time, missed, or not safe to drive. That is all. The hirer's photos, locations and drivers stay in their own account, in their own database, and no leasing query touches it. The hirer holds the subscription and pays us directly on the seats above, so you are not billed and you are not in the middle of it. End the hire and the lines stop; the hirer keeps their account.
Do we need hardware in the cab?
No box in the cab. Walkaround, defects, and the live map run on the phones you already have. For buses and HGVs we loan one Bluetooth tachograph card reader for every five of those seats.
Is this a live GPS tracker?
The daily check takes one GPS pin. While the driver app is open on shift, the phone updates the map. There is no second-by-second box in the cab.
Where do NCT, CVRT and MOT dates come from?
Irish plates: Check My Vehicle when you add the plate, and again on a loop — make, model, colour, NCT or CVRT, motor tax. British plates: DVLA Vehicle Enquiry the same way, and the vehicle sheet lists the full record (fuel, engine, MOT, tax, V5C, export mark, and the rest of that lookup). A plate with no record says so. Your WhatsApp gets a text at 30, 14 and 7 days, and when a date is overdue. The statutes behind those dates are on RSA and DVLA law.
Which RSA and DVLA laws does this follow?
Ireland: the 2012 CVR Act and S.I. 348/2013 for the daily walkaround and two-year defect records, S.I. 347/2013 for CVRT, S.I. 415/2017 for NCT, the 1952 motor-tax Act, CPC and driving-licence regulations, plus EU 561/2006 and 165/2014 for hours and tacho. Britain: DVLA for tax, registration and licences; DVSA’s Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness and the operator-licensing Acts for the walkaround. Each one is linked on RSA and DVLA law.
What is the contract?
12-month rolling, billed monthly. It rolls for another 12 months unless you email info@sarsfield.ie at least 30 days before the current period ends. You can still add, swap or drop seats during the term.
Do we get a tachograph reader?
Yes. One mobile Bluetooth tachograph card reader for every five bus or HGV seats on the record. Vans do not count. Four of those seats get none; five get one; ten get two. The reader is loaned for the term and returned if the count drops a band, or when the contract ends.
Is bank payout connected?
Not yet. IBAN and payout details are pending. Until they are in, we do not move money from this site.
How are driver licence and CPC tracked?
One search on the Drivers board. Irish 9-digit: the driver sends the NDLS Driver Statement PDF from ndls.ie; the desk stores that file and reads categories, dates and points. There is no NDLS login. British photocards: type the 16-character number; DVLA Driver View fills photocard, licence type and status, every category, CPC LGV and PCV, tacho cards, and endorsement codes and points. That record is listed on the driver and stored as a PDF. Address, date of birth, gender and name from that lookup are not kept. The same dates appear on Compliance with 30-, 14-, and 7-day alerts.
What is a guest pass?
For an agency driver or weekend subbie. You issue a 48- or 72-hour link from Drivers. They can file the daily check on that phone. They cannot open the operator desk. When the timer ends the pass drops; the checks stay. It is not a monthly seat.
Do you flag ferry rest and inspector packs?
GNSS hops between Irish Sea ports are marked as a likely ferry or train, with a draft Article 9 note. It is not a signed declaration — attach the ticket. The RSA pack on Export is 56 days at the roadside and 12 months on a premises visit. Hand over the file; do not log an inspector into the desk.
Do you score fuel burn or write demurrage invoices?
No. Those need a fitted tracker, CAN-bus, door sensors, or a fridge draw. This product uses the phone while the driver app is open.
What is the monthly seat?
€19.99 for cars, vans and LGVs. €29.99 for bus and HGV. Including VAT. 12-month rolling. One tacho reader for every five bus or HGV seats. No free trial. Email info@sarsfield.ie within 30 days of the first payment for the software fee back.
Why a photo as well as typed details?
A photo shows the part. Typed details are what the driver saw, in their own words, time-stamped onto the defect. A WhatsApp voice note is for a question to the operator, not for logging the fault. Paper slips lose both.
What happens to records if we cancel?
Email info@sarsfield.ie within 30 days of the first payment for the software fee back. After that, ending the subscription is by the same email at least 30 days before the current 12-month period ends. Dropping a plate is not ending the agreement. Export the dossier before you leave.
